Inside AGE 2022

36 | I NSIDE AGE | #1 AUG 2022 | asgam.com BB: What has the feedback from exhibitors been like? J P : T h e f e e d b a c k f r o m exhibitors has been consistent. They’re really excited that the show is going ahead this year. Many have said they hadn’t realised how significant the AGE was to their year until it wasn’t able to be held. For some of our smaller exhibitors that work across several industries, the AGE is the opportunity for them to get totally immersed in the Gaming and Hospitality space, and they love that. BB: Finally Jinesh, the AGE is not your sole focus as CEO of the GTA. Can you run us through some of your other key tasks and what you would like to achieve over the next few years? JP: Outside of the AGE, the GTA’s role is to be an advocate for the sector. I’d like to think that as an organisation we have been key in promoting technologies and innovations that facilitate responsible game play and a more sustainable future for the sector. As an industry, I think we have work to do in increasing an awareness of our industry both in terms of knowledge of the product and its economic and social contributions. In doing this the GTA will be in a better position to support balanced and sensible regulation for the gaming sector. The Star Sydney
