His key responsibilities include P&L management, as well as establishing new partnerships with brand sponsors, content platforms and game developers. He joined ONE Esports fromGarena, the gaming arm of Sea Group. At Garena, he reported to the CEO on strategic analysis and execution for certain business franchises. Prior to that, he spent five years in investment banking at Goldman Sachs. Part of the structured solutions team, he advised institutional clients on optimising their balance sheets. He prospected and executed ~$400 million notional of FX, interest rates and commodities hedges every year. His switch from banking to gaming represents an effort to align his career with his passion. He has been a lifelong gamer since age 6, where gaming played an instrumental role in helping him overcome the challenges faced as a cancer patient.
