34 G2E ASIA CONFERENCE 2023 | ASGAM.COM SPEAKER PROFILE MICHAEL CHEERS Sales Director Asia Michael has been with IGT for over 30 years, where he is responsible for all commercial matters related to IGT Asia’s business across the region. His key focus is to deliver the appropriate mix of IGT’s portfolio of games, systems and services to ensure the success of customers’ businesses. Having held key sales roles across Australia and Singapore, Michael moved to Macau in 2018 as IGT Asia Sales Director. His previous roles within IGT included State Manager of South Australia/Northern Territory, before transitioning to National Systems Sales Manager for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) where he was responsible for all customer management and direction for IGT’s Systems solutions in ANZ. During his four years in this role, Michael was instrumental in growing the IGT systems share of the market by over 300%. He did this through a strong focus on understanding and meeting customer needs, supplemented by his technical knowledge of the solution. Now based back in Singapore, Michael’s focus is to best position IGT and its customers for growth and success in the rapidly expanding Asian gaming landscape.
