He has led MGM’s efforts in Japan since 2014 and in September 2021, MGMResorts, together with joint venture partner ORIX, was selected by Osaka as the region’s integrated resort partner. Ed is also President of Global Development for MGM Resorts International. He joined MGM Resorts International in February 2003 and has been integrally involved in development activities in Asia, Europe and the United States. During the past 10 years the MGM development team, under Ed’s leadership, has won gaming licenses in Springfield, Massachusetts and in Prince George’s County, Maryland near Washington DC. In December 2016 MGM National Harbor successfully opened for business andMGMSpringfield opened in 2018. Ed started his career with Arthur Andersen in England in 1988 and transferred to the Las Vegas office in 1994, where he was promoted to a Senior Manager in 1999. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in England in 1991, having graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, First Class Honors in Spanish from the University of Durham, United Kingdom in 1988.
