His research mainly follows the institutional economics approach. He is an internationally-known scholar in the stream of casino gaming, specializing in the areas of public policy and evolution of casino gaming in Macau and other Asian jurisdictions. He is also an invited speaker in various executive development programs in gaming management. He has many publications in academic journals, professional magazines and books, including Journal of Economic Issues, Journal of Gambling Studies, International Gaming Studies, Journal of Gambling Business and Economics, UNLV Gaming Research and Review Journal, Gaming Law Review, and more . He contributed to book chapters such as “ The economics of Asian casino gaming and gambling ” in The Oxford Handbook of the Economics of Gambling (2013), and “Casino tourism: How does entrepreneurship change Macao?” in Entrepreneurship in Small Island States and Territories (2015). He is the author of Economic Principles for the Hospitality Industry (2020) and released an article in 2023 titled “Social, political and economic dimensions of the instituted process of central bank digital currency: The case of the digital yuan” in the Journal of Economic Issues . 議程
