This will be the third year in which IAG ’s Power 50 Gala Dinner has incorporated a specific theme to recognize the challenges and opportunities presented by the global COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, the theme was “Standing Together in 2020” which acknowledged the need to unite in the face of the pandemic as it continued to create significant headwinds for the industry all across Asia. In 2021, the theme was “We Emerge Stronger” – a call to arms and positive reinforcement that our industry was ready to return stronger than ever. Last year’s Gala Dinner also saw guest numbers increased from 240 in 2020 back to 340 in line with less restrictive health guidelines.
