Aristocrat takes active steps intended to improve the participation and advancement of women in its business and industry, and since 2006 has increased its female ratio to 26%. The company knows it still has work to do, but it remains a key focus alongside attracting, cultivating and supporting local talent. Recent hires over the last few years demonstrate Aristocrat’s focus on continuing to build a diverse and local talent pipeline. Annie Chan is Aristocrat Asia’s Operations Director, looking after both the MIC and technical support team. She is a true industry leader and has been a fantastic addition to Aristocrat’s Macau leadership team. “Aristocrat is by far themost people focused company that I’ve worked for,” Chan says. “With strong values that guide our teams, it’s clear to see that mindset for cultivating talent is embedded within our business. “Our leaders lead by example, we accept differences and recognise the contribution that we each bring to the team. It’s wonderful to feel good about the work you do and more importantly, working with people that help you be your best.” Jason Wong is Aristocrat Asia’s Commercial Manager and joins Aristocrat after accumulating many years in the investment banking sector. Securing top talent from outside the gaming industry to add to its capabilities and diversity of thought remains a vital cog in the Aristocrat machine. “Gaming in Asia is both a dynamic and interesting industry and region. I am excited by the Aristocrat brand and the breadth of the role, as well as being part of such a diverse and collegiate team,” says Wong. Aristocrat believes in investing in local talent, especially in the early stages of their professional career and as a result, has instituted a Macau graduate program.
