Originally planned to open in 2020, when complete the Paul Steelman-designed The Emerald Bay will sit on 13.5 hectares of land on Mactan Island in Lapu-Lapu City, with the first phase to include an 838-room 5-star hotel, 8,000 square meters of retail, 18 restaurants, a convention center and a 7,585 square meter gaming floor comprising 146 gaming tables and 1,186 slot machines.
