Inside Asian Gaming
INSIDE ASIAN GAMING NOVEMBER 2018 42 TRADE EVENTS and of course the wonderful company of many industry peers and influencers. The list will be announced in a variety of interesting ways by renowned VIPs and government officials. Following on from the success of the inaugural G2E Asia Awards earlier this year, which IAG co-organized alongside Reed Exhibitions and the American Gaming Association, we look forward to hosting another fun and joyful evening in the heart of Asia’s gaming hub. Hosting the first ever Asian Gaming Power 50 Gala Dinner represents the next step in the evolution of the “Big 50”. Debuting in July of 2008, the following year it moved to September – the issue of IAG displayed at the G2E trade show in Las Vegas each year. It remained in September for the next eight years, until 2016, when we recognized that the growth of G2E Asia in May and the waning importance of the Las Vegas version of G2E in Asia meant it was time for a change. With that in mind, IAG last year celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Asian Gaming Power 50 by moving the announcement to December, therefore taking into account all the activities and machinations of the preceding calendar year. And in December it remains in 2018. The inaugural Asian Gaming Power 50 Gala Dinner will not only see the “Big 50” announced, but all attendees handed a copy of this year’s December edition of IAG at the end of the night, in which the final 50 will be listed alongside detailed explanations of their respective finishing positions, how those positions compared with last year as well as who narrowly missed out and our “ones to watch” in the near future. Sands China boss Sheldon Adelson is gunning to top the Asian Gaming Power 50 for a sixth consecutive year, but can he hold off the challenge of Galaxy’s Francis Lui and Melco’s Lawrence Ho – both of whom narrowed the gap significantly in 2017? Likewise, who will fill the Top 10 void left by former Wynn Resorts Chairman Steve Wynn? Somany questions, and all will be answered at the inaugural Asian Gaming Power 50 Gala Dinner on 23 November. For sponsorship or ticketing inquiries, please contact Jadeson Ho on +853 6331 5577 or at jh@asgam.com . Details of the sponsorship opportunities available can be found at www. iagpower50.com. Published for the first time in 2008, the Asian Gaming Power 50 has become renowned as the definitive guide to who’s who in the zoo.
