Inside Asian Gaming

March 2012 | INSIDE ASIAN GAMING 35 SPIELO International to you because we know your products are reliable, you’re here when we need you, and we know you can sustain our activity and our growth’. How do you balance innovation and reliability? We are part of this big group but we still remain focused on the details. We have the dynamic of a small, agile organisation. So people see we can do cashless transactions via tickets, via chip cards, via mag stripe cards or via the smartphone. We can interact with players via the CRYSTAL.net touchscreen player interface. Players can order drinks via the gaming machine. We have the flexibility to make the system evolve to integrate all these functions. One of the latest things we are doing is to implement a horoscope online. When you put your player card into the machine, it tells you your lucky colour and theme for the day. Last but not least, we’re in discussion to install our first table system in Asia; something which will make me proud of our product and research and development teams. Some Asian operators have small venues and may not have the capability to analyse a lot of operational data. Do you have a thin client system for them? We have SYSTEM2go™. It’s a light solution that’s Web-based. We use best-of- breed technology. Say the customer wants to do ticketing—even with an arcade of only 20 machines, or perhaps 100 arcades of 20 machines each; the solution can do the job. It means locally in the venue, you have the tools to make the system function for accounting and ticketing, but the data could be stored in our server room in Monaco. It’s what I call a ‘Data Paradise’ because we are protected by the law of Monaco for confidentiality; that’s for what you can call the ‘Cloud’, although in Monaco it’s quite sunny! We are on a major network of the Internet in the world, so in that respect the customer can have the data all sealed in our premises. They don’t have to think about it. The owner of that kind of gaming venue could be away from the location, and just by using his smartphone he can see via the system what sort of results he is producing. It’s the most effective and efficient solution for smaller operators. All systems go—SPIELO International’s Marc Attal
