Inside Asian Gaming

June 2011 | INSIDE ASIAN GAMING 87 NRT NRTTechnologyCorp(NRT)—aleadingsupplierofself-servicecash-handling equipment in the retail and financial industries—will display and demonstrate its ‘Quick’-themed series of casino products at G2E Asia 2011. A notable Asian success for NRT is the orders the company won to supply a fast and efficient system for processing entry fees at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) casino in Singapore. Singapore citizens and residents must pay a daily or yearly levy for entry to MBS or its market rival Resorts World Sentosa. MBS, which opened in April 2010, features 28 NRT QuickTouch™ kiosks at its entrances to facilitate faster entry into the casino. The self-service kiosks validate the identity of Singaporeans, display payment options, process payment (cash, debit card or credit card) and confirm transaction status to a host system. “Our success came in that case by demonstrating that we understood the environment. Some of the trust was gained by proving to the client that we really cared, that we really wanted to understand their unique requirements,” explains Art Ayow, NRT’s Vice President of Sales - International Gaming, Lotteries & Banking. “The Quick products are all industry leading, value-added technologies that help our clients meet their business objectives for cost reduction and productivity improvement,” he adds. NRT’s ‘Quick’ products range comprises: • the QuickJack 2™ Smart Card product enables the purchase, redemption, loading and cash-out of smart cards as well as an entire suite of self service applications; • the QuickTouch™ platform is a small footprint kiosk where users can (among other functions) purchase tickets/cards, sign up as club members or redeem points for gift coupons; • the QuickTable™ developed in partnership with JCM Global, allows allow casino players to cash out TITO tickets or make cash withdrawals without the inconvenience of waiting at the cage. At G2E Asia NRT will demonstrate a new component that addresses Asian clients’ needs for speed, greater bet processing capacity and escrow. QuickJack has evolved from a jackpot dispensing kiosk to a multi-functional product with best-in-class features and turnkey applications. There are 4,300+ QuickJack™ devices deployed globally, processing over 800 million transactions annually. Significant QuickJack™ installations are located in Canada, the USA, Macau, Singapore, the Caribbean and Europe. All NRT kiosk solutions are managed by the renowned Cash Handling System (CHS), which provides real- time, web-based services for system management, security and management reporting. NRT’s network of 15,000-plus automatic teller machines (ATMs) process more than 50 million transactions per year.
