One reporter unkindly likened the former structure to a “giant penitentiary”, while the latter has a distinct contemporary office-tower look to it, especially when the lights are switched off during the daytime. “We wanted to have a façade that when people look at it, their first reaction is ‘this is a destination resort,’” remarks Francis Lui, deputy chairman of Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG). “One look at the building, you know that this is a resort.
