July 2010 | INSIDE ASIAN GAMING 35 J CM Global’s iVIZION™ bill validator, revealed for the first time at G2E in Las Vegas in November, is likely to go live in the market in the third or fourth quarter of this year. “We’re very pleased to report that the iVIZION is with the equipment manufacturers today in the process of getting certified by them, so we expect deployment of the product later this year,” Kunal Mishra, JCM Global’s General Manager for New Business Development, told Inside Asian Gaming at G2E Asia in Macau last month. As JCM Global explained to IAG in our February edition, iVIZION was conceived as a network application, not simply a bill validator. That allows equipment manufacturers and casinos to adapt the technology for their operational needs. “Our aim was always to provide a platform on which people could build value added features,” states Mr Mishra. “We provide the core technology and all the relevant inputs and outputs. Their people then use their own creativity to come up with applications that make sense for the casino. “As the product gets evangelised throughout the industry and more and more people look at it, they’re finding more applications to build around the iVIZION. That’s exploiting the CIS [contact image sensor] or our SENTRY 2.0 Bezel technology. “Initial indications are that it’s exceeding even our expectations. We call it the foundation of intelligent validation,” adds Mr Mishra. “We anticipate the roll out to begin in Q3 and Q4 of this year. As to jurisdictions, that’s dependent on submission factors.
