Radiant GAS The GAS women’s collection for spring/summer ’07 carries un- mistakeable hints of an idealised journey from west to east: from Paris to Saigon and from Saigon to Bali, via Singapore. It is a voyage along the real and imaginary spice route, taking in the sounds, smells, colours and flavours of a world halfway between progress and tradition.  The GAS woman is sensual, feminine and at the same time re- fined,with bare shoulders, deep necklines and a defined waist. Her jackets emphasise the figure thanks to clearly shaped shoulders and a high, fitted waist.Her tops go down below the waist and are made using fine, lightweight materials in soft fits that are easy to layer andmix andmatch.Her dresses are made of an extra lightweight cotton muslin, which is either plain or features a Balinese print. The men’s collection conveys images of a never-ending sum- mer, urban surfers who inhabit sun-drenched beaches and ride huge waves on their boards: icons of radiant youth, with hair bleached by the salt-water and fit bodies, firing the imagi- nation and creating fashion. A riot of colour: red, orange, hot pink and lime green represent exotic fruits, while blue and turquoise show the shades of the South Seas. Digital graphics of bold, tropical flowers mingle and overlap unexpectedly with classics from the male ward- robe: pinstriped shirts, blazers in shirting fabric, smoking and biker jackets, sweatshirts and even boxers that peep out from under pants. Jeans, in a wide range of washes, styles and shades of indigo, are of course still the heart and soul of the GAS collection. There is also a new addition: jeans that are bonded rather than stitched together. They are soft to the touch, feel good on and above all feature an innovative design so the models really show off the characteristics of the technique.  High-Roller Accessories
