The Plaza Premium Group, a global premium airport services company, has launched its first new lounge in Macau, called Plaza Premium First (PPF) Macau, at Macau International Airport.
Macau gaming concessionaires Sands China, Galaxy Entertainment Group and MGM China are known to have dedicated lounges within PPF.
Macau International Airport is the fourth VIP lounge in the Plaza Premium Group’s PPF series. The 5,000-square-foot lounge is located near boarding gate 10/10A and offers Macau food specialities as well as “Beyond First” private customized services.
PPF offers four dedicated lounges, with Sands, Galaxy and MGM having already snapped up three and the remainder also set to be occupied by another concessionaire.
Song Hoi-See, Founder and CEO of PPG, said that the number of high-end customers visiting Macau has been on the rise in recent years.
“We believe that now is the best time for PPG to expand its business in Macau and further cater to the needs of the high-end market,” he said.
Song added that in the past Macau’s concessionaries did not have dedicated VIP lounges at the airport but are now actively participating, demonstrating that they are increasingly focused on high-end customers.
“The arrival of Sands, Galaxy and MGM represents the industry’s realization that the customer base is shifting to the high-end, demonstrating that the entire tourism ecosystem is changing,” he commented.
