Social responsibility and economic diversification media brand Macau CSR will today announce a strategic partnership with Orbis Macau, the local Macau unit of the global Orbis organization, which is dedicated to saving eyesight worldwide.

Under the agreement, the two parties will cooperate in several different ways. Macau CSR will promote the activities of Orbis Macau through its media channels such as its website, email newsletter and quarterly print volume. A dedicated strategic partner page on the Macau CSR website has been created for Orbis Macau and can be accessed by clicking here.

The Orbis Macau logo will be featured on the strategic partners page of the Macau CSR website and on each Macau CSR weekly newsletter.

Orbis will provide access to its events to Macau CSR where appropriate and the parties will liaise regarding upcoming Orbis Macau events, initiatives and activities. Orbis Macau will also assist Macau CSR in enhanced promotion and distribution of the Macau CSR website, email newsletter and quarterly print volume.

Isabel da Silva, Director of Development of Orbis Macau said, “Orbis Macau is honoured to be a part of this committed initiative of O MEDIA to provide a dedicated platform through Macau CSR to record and share the development and news of local corporate social responsibility events with the people of Macau, as well as with the world! During this momentous time in Macau’s history, as we work on directing aggregating effort towards achieving economic diversification, and higher level of social responsibility, Orbis looks forward to collaborating with Macau CSR and their partners to contribute our part to support, promote and inspire more to participate in such efforts.”

Rita Pun, Project Director of Macau CSR, said, “We’re delighted to announce Orbis Macau as our first strategic partner. Since 2006 Orbis Macau has been playing a valuable role in the community by saving eyesight through initiatives such as the Orbis Raffles, an annual fundraising event dedicated towards raising vital funds for Orbis paediatric sight-saving programs to help visually impaired young patients living in low- and middle-income countries. Another great initiative is Orbis Action for Sight, a two-month long fundraising and advocacy campaign which is organised alongside every World Sight Day, a special day observed on the second Thursday of October to direct attention towards the global issue of eye health. I’d like to thank Isabel for agreeing to partner with us and we hope that this agreement will benefit both parties for many years to come.”

Macau CSR is planning to sign further strategic partner agreements with Macau associations, charities and professional bodies in the near future.
