Konami Australia Pty Ltd has announced an expanded role for David Punter, who will now oversee operations manager sales, marketing and service for ANZ and APAC. The new role adds Asia to Punter’s portfolio, on top of the ANZ market he has overseen since 2018.

Noting that he brings more than two decades of experience in sales, marketing and product strategy to the position, Konami said Punter has a demonstrated track record of success that has seen him drive growth for the company in its ANZ markets.

He will now focus on customer requirements and drive sales and product strategies to meet the needs of both the APAC and ANZ regions.

“David has been in senior roles in the gaming industry for nearly two decades, with a passion for sales, marketing products and meeting customers’ gaming requirements,” said Steve Sutherland, Managing Director at Konami Australia Pty Ltd and President and CEO of Konami Group’s global gaming and systems division.

“This has been reflected in his time with Konami for nearly five years, driving sales and customer results across the domestic markets in ANZ.

“With David’s expanded leadership across Asia and passion for effective market delivery, his expanded role will drive even further momentum across ANZ and APAC.”

The new role for Punter follows the recent promotion of Gerard Crosby to SVP & Chief Games Product Offer at Konami Gaming.
