Inside Asian Gaming will host two highly topical conference sessions when the Australasian Gaming Expo returns to Sydney next week, with a focus on poker (slot) machine development and the changing face of regulation across the Asia-Pacific region.
Both conference sessions will take place on Day 2 of the AGE Seminar, with IAG having locked in some of the brightest minds in the industry to offer their insights.
The first panel, titled “Slots: the convergence between ANZ and Asian studios, themes and mechanics”, is scheduled to take place from 10.30am on Wednesday 10 August. IAGManaging Editor Ben Blaschke will be joined by Light & Wonder’s Senior Vice President of Global Product Management, Nathan Drane, and IGT’s Senior Director Product Management – APAC, Charles Seo, to discuss the latest trends in ANZ and how these games are influencing the entire Asia-Pacific region.
Immediately afterwards, from 11.10am, Ben will be joined by the former head of Victoria’s gaming regulator, Peter Cohen, VP and Managing Director Asia for Light & Wonder, Ken Jolly, and Partner at Addisons Lawyers, Jamie Nettleton, for a panel titled “Contrasting Australian gaming regulation with other Asian jurisdictions.”
This panel will take a deep dive into regulatory changes emanating from recent Australian casino inquiries and how they will impact casino, pub and club operators across the country. It will also compare Australia’s new regulatory environment to other major APAC jurisdictions such as Macau, the Philippines and Singapore.
“We have put together two conference sessions that address some of the major issues facing operators, suppliers and other industry entities in Australia and beyond,” said IAG Managing Editor Ben Blaschke.
“With some of the most knowledgeable experts in their fields taking part, these sessions are sure to provide attendees with valuable insights that will provide valuable clarity for their businesses moving forward.
“I look forward to welcoming our speakers and guests at AGE next week.”
IAG was recently named Official Media and Production Partner of AGE in 2022 and has produced the official show publication, Inside AGE, which will be widely distributed to visitors and exhibitors alike.
