The Sheraton Grand Macao will again be used as a quarantine hotel, with Macau’s Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre revealing it will accept arrivals from Hong Kong as of 31 May.
This is the third time the Sheraton Grand Macao has been used for quarantine purposes, having most recently set aside around 2,000 rooms for quarantining guests between September and December 2021.
It will now join Grand Coloane Resort in accepting arrivals from Hong Kong, with the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre revealing that extra rooms were required due to the number of residents returning to Macau having recently increased.
The Pousada Marina Infante Hotel will continue to be used as a designated medical observation hotel for Macau residents or foreign employees coming to Macau from Hong Kong, while the Treasure Hotel will be used for Macau residents or foreign employees including workers from the Philippines and arrivals from Taiwan. Macau residents who are eligible to stay in the hotel may apply for a fee waiver.
The Regency Art Hotel will be used as a special optional medical observation hotel for foreigners and Taiwanese visitors to Macau, but excluding those from the Philippines.
