Restaurants under the SJM Resorts moniker received a combined six Diamonds in the 2022 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide, with the company noting this was the most Diamonds in Macau.
Launched by Chinese e-commerce platform Meituan in 2018, the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide has been described as China’s answer to Michelin with the 2022 version listing 736 restaurants in 26 cities across mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, as well as some international cities such as New York, Paris, Tokyo and Singapore.
Restaurants are judged by “renowned experts in the culinary field, including master chefs, recognised gourmands, and hospitality industry leaders.”
SJM’s 6 Diamonds were shared by its three signature restaurants at Grand Lisboa: Robuchon au Dôme was awarded the highest honor of three diamonds, The 8 received two diamonds and The Kitchen earned one diamond.
“We are honoured to receive these prestigious awards from the region’s definitive restaurant guide,” said SJM Chairman Daisy Ho.
“These accolades have demonstrated SJM’s commitment to excellence and recognized our contributions to the development of Macau’s gastronomic culture. We will continue with our efforts in deepening collaboration between tourism and gastronomy, showing to the world Macau’s unique charm as a ‘Creative City of Gastronomy’.”
