Philippines integrated resort City of Dreams Manila says it has reached a significant milestone to coincide with the recent downgrading of the capital city’s COVID-19 alert level to Alert Level 2 with 99% of staff now fully vaccinated.
The high vaccination rate comes after COD Manila launched a series of initiatives to encourage vaccination uptake, including two days of paid leave on the day of the vaccination and after to allow for rest and recovery from any side effects, and re-enforcing the importance of vaccination as a collective effort. Webinars were also conducted by medical authorities to provide staff with a better understanding of the benefits of being vaccinated, while transport was provided to and from vaccination sites.
Focus has now turned to vaccinating staff members’ dependents.
“We are grateful to our colleagues who have taken the step towards protecting themselves, their families and colleagues, our guests and the community in general,” said Property President Geoff Andres.
COD Manila said it continues to implement its “Play it Safe” campaign, which mandates that all staff must follow stringent health and safety guidelines throughout the property, including in their work areas and in community spaces such as the employee dining area.
