The group formerly known as Widus has announced it will hold a soft opening for its revamped Hann Casino Resort in Clark Freeport Zone on 15 December.
The first phase of expansion project will cover 130,000 square meters and include a “world-class gaming space” plus 380 hotel rooms across 19 storeys, specialty dining options, retail outlets, a swimming pool, an executive lounge plus event venues such as a ballroom and function rooms.
Hann Group has stated previously that the property will also “boast of modern architecture aesthetically complemented by nature and lush green landscapes with an elegant facade that will showcase lines and contours flaunting structural impressions of the Banaue rice terraces,” and incorporate traditional and modern elements of Korean architecture and culture in a nod to its core customer base.
“Despite the disruption the pandemic caused, our vision of creating the ultimate millionaire’s playground in Clark remains the same,” said Daesik Han, president and CEO of Hann Philippines, Inc. “We are set to open the first fully integrated resort in phases, and guests can expect only the finest in hospitality and entertainment.
“We remain committed to our vision of raising the concept of play into a lifestyle that people would want to discover through world-class experiences. With the soft opening of Hann Casino Resort, we aim to attract tourists and investors to the area to help kickstart the Philippines’ economy and revive the tourism industry.”
Hann Group said its resort is expected to generate over 1,000 job opportunities once fully open.
The expansion of the former Widus Hotel & Casino is coming at a cost of Php12 billion (US$247 million), while the company is outlaying around US$1 billion in total with another expansion project taking place in New Clark City Tarlac.
