The vaccination rate of staff at MGM China has reached 90%, the company announced Friday, making it the latest of Macau’s concessionaires to edge towards its stated goal of herd immunity.
The impressive rate follows implementation of MGM’s “Outreach Vaccination Program” for its team members, alongside explanatory seminars on the vaccines and a range of promotional campaigns that have taken place both inside and outside the company.
According to Friday’s statement, MGM China Co-chairperson & Executive Director Pansy Ho has thanked those staff who are vaccinated for “protecting their loved ones while fulfilling their civil responsibility to safeguard the city, keeping Macau a safe living place and travel destination.”
The company said it was first integrated resort operator in Macau to invite medical staff from the Health Bureau to host an on-site “Outreach Vaccination Program” and explanatory seminars with the aim of helping all team members adopt a thorough understanding of the vaccines and encourage them to get vaccinated.
Four outreach programs for team members and their family members saw more than 8,000 shots of COVID-19 vaccine administered.
