Wynn Macau Ltd says more than 50% of its staff have now been vaccinated against COVID-19 following the second round of its vaccination outreach program.
The latest vaccinations were conducted in the Grand Theater Ballroom at Wynn Palace across four days from 19 to 22 July, with invited medical personnel from the Macau Health Bureau helping set up a temporary vaccination center. Coupled with the first round of outreach held in June, nearly 4,000 Wynn Macau team members and their families have registered for vaccination with over 50% of Wynn staff now vaccinated, the company said.
Wynn also revealed that a third round of outreach will be held from 23 to 25 August 2021.
Wynn’s vaccination push has included a series of vaccine seminars, the most recent held on 13 July where Dr Tai Wa Hou, Clinical Director of the Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre, provided detailed information about the vaccines to Wynn team members. Around 700 team members have attended the company’s three information seminars to date.
The company has also organized an ongoing array of promotional activities in back-of-house areas encouraging team members to get vaccinated, provides shuttle bus services for those who make vaccination appointments and issues vaccination record cards to those who have received their second dose.
Any staff who have completed their vaccination doses can enjoy up to two days of special leave.
“Vaccination is vital to stabilizing the pandemic situation,” Wynn said via an announcement. “Wynn hopes to encourage team members and their families to get vaccinated by organizing a range of initiatives and thereby increase the vaccination rate.
“Meanwhile, Wynn will continue to support the pandemic prevention guidelines and policies of the SAR government, working together with all sectors of society to help Macau achieve herd immunity as quickly as possible.”
