Macau concessionaire Melco Resorts & Entertainment says it vaccinated almost 2,400 staff, family and friends during a vaccination drive held at the Studio City Event Center from 18 to 20 June.
The drive was in support of the Macau SAR Government’s efforts to achieve herd immunity via community-wide vaccination. Melco recently announced details of its “Get the Jab” program which provides incentives for staff to be fully vaccinated.
“With colleague immunity now established as a key company objective to ensure a safe environment for colleagues, guests and the community, we are thrilled to see colleagues’ positive response to the “Get the Jab” campaign,” said Akiko Takahashi, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff to Melco’s Chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho.
“We will continue to host more health seminars to promote the benefits of vaccination and to answer colleagues’ queries so that informed choices best suited to each individual’s needs can be made, whilst supporting to the government’s efforts towards achieving herd immunity.”
Melco’s latest contribution comes after the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre revealed last week that 6,000 employees of four Macau concessionaires had been vaccinated as a direct result of its recent initiatives.
