Topics will include various issues faced due to the COVID-19 pandemic, measures taken for the vastly changing environment and what Japan’s first IRs might look like when they open, currently expected to be in the late 2020s.
With 20 speakers from Japan and abroad, it will also look at how Japanese IRs can succeed and how Japan can attract more customers, among other topics.
The event will run from 10am to 6pm (Japan time) each day.
IAG Japan is Lead Media Partner of the event, with Vice Chairman and CEO Andrew W Scott and Managing Editor Ben Blaschke to host a session from 11.15am today (Japan time) examining the state of the Asian IR industry and how leading jurisdictions such as Macau, Singapore and the Philippines are handling the COVID-19 pandemic.
Andrew will also participate in a panel discussion from 4.30pm (Japan time) alongside Director of Regulatory Affairs for The Agenda Group, Peter Cohen, and former Sands and Caesars VP in charge of Japanese business development, Yusuke Watanabe. The panel will specifically examine how Japan can attract more international customers.
