The French Government has bestowed Galaxy Entertainment Group Vice Chairman Francis Lui with the insignia of Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters in recognition of his contribution in promoting the arts and culture of France.
Lui was recently honored at a ceremony held by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau at the Intercontinental Grand Stanford Hotel in Hong Kong, where the Consul General, Alexandre Giorgini, acknowledged his contribution in attracting people’s attention to the arts and culture of France and promoting the cultural relations between France and local communities.
The Order of Arts and Letters (Ordre des Arts et des Lettres) was established in 1957 by the Minister of Culture of France to recognize eminent artists and writers, as well as people who have contributed significantly to furthering the arts in France and throughout the world. The Order is recognized as France’s highest cultural honor and is made up of three ranks: Commander, Officer and Knight.
