The AGEM Index – a monthly stock performance guide comprising 13 global gaming suppliers – surged by 8.0% or 55.72 points to 751.79 points in February 2021, driven by stock increases from software supplier Agilysys and global gaming giant Scientific Games.
According to the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers, which compiles the AGEM Index, all but one of the 13 companies registered stock price increases in February although Agilysys led the way, rising 62.0% and contributing 15.09 points to the AGEM Index. Scientific Games registered a 19.4% increase in February with a contribution of 14.94 points.
The major stock indices all performed well in February, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 3.2% and the S&P 500 2.6%. The NASDAQ experienced a gain of 0.9%.
