Scientific Games President and CEO Barry Cottle has signed a three-year extension to his employment contract that will see him lead the global gaming giant for at least another three years.
According to information filed with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday, Cottle’s new three-year deal will take effect from 1 June 2021 and run until 31 May 2024, followed by an automatic 12-month extension each year until notice of termination is provided by either side.
He will also see his base salary increase slightly, from US$1.75 million to US$1.8 million, with a 100% target bonus and 250% long-term incentive bonus remaining in place.
Cottle, who joined Scientific Games as CEO of SG Interactive in August 2015, was originally appointed President and CEO if June 2018 following the departure of Kevin Sheehan after just two years in the top job.
He notably agreed to forego 100% of his salary last year as part of efforts to help the company navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.
