Macau’s Regency Art Hotel will become an “optional medical observation hotel” as of 1 February, increasing the number of optional hotels in the city to three.
Optional quarantine hotels serve both Macau residents and non-residents for their mandatory quarantine period at their own cost, while designated hotels are limited to Macau residents and their accompanying relatives.
The cost of staying in an optional quarantine hotel is dependent on the hotel and type of room, while eligible local residents can stay free of charge of they choose a designated quarantine hotel.
From 1 February, Macau’s optional quarantine hotels are Regency Art Hotel, Lisboeta Macau and Sheraton Grand Macao – although the latter will not accept new guests during the Chinese New year period from 6 to 19 February.
Designated quarantine hotels include Pousada Marina Infante Hotel, Golden Crown China Hotel and Grand Coloane Resort.
