Philippines integrated resort Okada Manila has issued an advisory insisting there is no truth to rumors being spread about plans to sell its business and assets.
Okada Manila, operated by Universal Entertainment Corp subsidiary Tiger Resort Leisure and Entertainment Inc, said Monday, “It appears that certain persons and groups are spreading claims and rumors that Okada Manila’s business or assets are for sale. Please be advised that such claims and rumors are false and fake news.”
The company added that it would take necessary legal action against violators who are using Okada Manila’s name, brand and trademarks without authority or consent.
Okada Manila had earlier this month issued a similar advisory distancing itself from an online casino claiming to be operated by the Manila IR, and in December warned against the purchase of hotel scents and fragrances using the Okada Manila brand. It also warned against purchasing hotel room packages being offered by unauthorized sellers not associated with Okada Manila.
