Macau-based law firm MdME Lawyers has announced the hiring of Victoria White as Special Counsel and Technology Expert Lawyer, with the aim of boosting the company’s capabilities in digital economy, emerging technologies and data solutions.
White will guide the company’s efforts in launching a Digital Transformation Team focusing on thelegal, regulatory and policy aspects of technology disruption.
No stranger to integrated resort business and operations, having previously worked in management roles for Marina Bay Sands and Sands China, White also spent 10 years as a lawyer in the Intellectual Property & Information Technology group of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Hong Kong, Beijing and London. She specializes in information technology matters, focusing on the use and regulation of digital-first technologies, data optimization solutions, as well as e-commerce, social commerce and digital payments.
White is a certified information privacy professional/Asia (CIPP/A) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, the leading accreditation on privacy regulation for data protection professionals in Asia.
