SiGMA Group has postponed its upcoming iGaming conference in Malta by another two months, with the event now scheduled to take place from 13 to 15 April 2021.
The latest postponement comes after SiGMA Europe, originally planned for mid-November 2020, was previously delayed for three months until 16 to 18 February due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
According to an update sent to partners overnight, the decision to postpone for only two months follows this week’s news that UK authorities have authorised a vaccine for use, which will be rolled out to its citizens from next week. UK delegates comprise one of the largest groups to attend the Malta event, SiGMA Group said.
“The early release of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine makes us hopeful that a sense of normality will now resume within the next four months,” said SiGMA Group founder Eman Pulis.
“Our recent Virtual expo was a huge success, but we hope to now continue building these relationships in person as we launch into what looks set to be a very exciting year.”
SiGMA said it is still planning to proceed with SiGMA Asia in Manila from 27 to 28 May 2021 and SiGMA Americas in Sao Paulo Brazil on 13 and 14 September 2021.
