The Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) has been given the green light to return in 2021 after organizers revealed permission to welcome up to 4,000 guests per day.
According to an update sent to partners and exhibitors on Tuesday, Sydney’s International Convention Centre has granted AGE, scheduled to take place from 10 to 12 August 2021, a 4,000-person quota under the one person per four square meters rule. The exhibition area at ICC measures around 19,000 square meters.
Based on previous years, the new 4,000 person daily quota would be more than enough to allow the event to go ahead without any constraints: in 2019 AGE welcomed 3,236 visitors on day one, 3,727 on day two and 2,044 on day three for a total of 9,007 visits from 6,938 unique visitors.
While 2020 saw AGE cancelled for the first time since its inception in 1990, organizers said they have already sold 50% of the exhibition space for next year’s event.
