Seven in 10 people surveyed by Inside Asian Gaming this week on the impact COVID-19 has had on their workplace reported increased levels of stressful symptoms such as anxiety, apprehension, depression, distress, doubts, nervousness or worry.
The survey, which saw 123 people answer a series of questions about COVID-19, found that 22% of respondents reported a substantial increase in stressful symptoms while another 48% said such stressful symptoms had increased “somewhat.” Around 26% of people reported no change and just 4% said stressful symptoms had decreased.
The survey also found that a little over half of respondents expect at least some changes impacting the global leisure and hospitality industry as a result of COVID-19 will remain in place permanently. Such changes include wearing of masks, temperature checks, limits to the number of players at a gaming table and social distancing.
The full results of the 11-question survey have been sent to all who responded.
