Philippines electronic gaming outlet service provider PhilWeb Corporation has announced the extension for one month of “forced leave” for 184 employees due to ongoing community quarantine measures across most of the country.
PhilWeb previously announced a one month leave period from Thursday 16 April “to ensure adequate availability of resources when the company resumes its business operations.”
In a Friday filing, it said leave would now continue through to 15 June, although, “This effective period may be shortened depending on approvals from the relevant task force and regulatory agencies to resume business operations. PhilWeb is currently seeking clarification from the relevant government agencies on the resumption of operations in areas transitioning [from Enhanced Community Quarantine] to General Community Quarantine.”
The company revealed it has provided a prorated 13th month pay to all employees during this “forced leave” period.
