SiGMA Group, which oversees annual gaming trade shows SiGMA Malta and SiGMA Manila, and MGS Entertainment Show have announced a new strategic partnership aimed at strengthening the presence of their respective Asian-based events.
The inaugural SiGMA Manila, to take place at Manila’s SMX Convention Centre in collaboration with ICE Asia, had been scheduled for 8 and 9 June 2020 but has since been postponed to 27 and 28 May 2021. MGS is still scheduled to take place at The Venetian Macao from 17 to 19 November 2020.
In an announcement, MGS said the SiGMA Group will “inject fresh blood into MGS with cutting-edge gaming technology companies as well as creating a stronger bond between MGS and operators from Southeast Asia and Europe.”
SiGMA Group founder and CEO Eman Pulis said, “MGS Entertainment Show is a leading show in Macau, the undisputed heavyweight mecca for land-based gaming.
“Since Manila is becoming a leading destination in Southeast Asia with its Integrated Resorts, and since the show in Macau is six months away from ours in Manila, we felt that we could indeed work together and support each other in more ways than one.
“I am thrilled to be collaborating with the organizers behind MGS and have no doubt that their reach in Macau and our reach in Philippines and Europe will strengthen each others’ proposition.”
Jay Chun, Chairman of MGS organizer MGEMA (Macau Gaming Equipment Manufacturers Association), added, “The opportunities for growth in Asia are increasing exponentially year-on-year, and the time is right to cement new and existing relationships between the gaming industries in both the East and West.
“It is unprecedented for two such established events to collaborate in this fashion in Asia, so these calendar events will be a must attend in Asia moving forward – May for SiGMA Manila and November for MGS Entertainment Show.”
