For the fourth week in a row, the main gaming floor of MGM Macau has proven to be the busiest of any of Macau’s largest properties when visited by Inside Asian Gaming.
While visitor numbers remain devastatingly low due to the tight border restrictions in place since late March, MGM Macau has at least enjoyed some minor activity on its casino floor with 30 players – comprising 10 at the tables and 20 playing slots – during weekday afternoons last week.
The 11 IRs, comprising The Venetian Macao, Parisian Macao, Sands Cotai Central, City of Dreams, Wynn Palace, MGM Cotai, Galaxy Macau, Grand Lisboa, Wynn Macau, MGM Macau and StarWorld, averaged just 14 main gaming floor players during any given midweek afternoon. All counts were conducted on the afternoons of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
On average, each gaming floor had around four players on tables and 10 players on slots. While MGM Macau remained the busiest, Galaxy Macau came in next with seven at the tables and 13 on slots. Once again, Sands Cotai Central was quietest with only a single slots player.
