Aristocrat’s commitment to Macau and Asia is highlighted by the ongoing activities of its Macau Integration Centre.
While the COVID-19 pandemic continues to create challenges for the global gaming industry, Aristocrat continues to operate with an eye on the future via its manufacturing facility in Asia, conveniently located in the heart of the vibrant gaming hub of Macau.
Since 2006, all of Aristocrat’s Asia-Pacific gaming machines have been assembled in this very facility – known as the Macau Integration Centre (MIC). The company’s output capacity has steadily increased to follow Asia-Pacific’s gaming expansion, with the current output capacity producing up to 9,000 EGMs annually.
With a focus firmly on its people, Aristocrat maintains a deep commitment to local talent development in order to support evolving markets and the wider Macau industry. Currently, all of the company’s Macau production staff are local Macau residents.
At its Macau Integration Centre, Aristocrat has implemented improvement programs aligned with 6S and Lean principles ensuring it can promote and sustain a high level of productivity and safety throughout the workplace.
While adhering to the 5S principles of Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain, the 6S method adds the concept of Safety. This method not only helps Aristocrat promote an efficient working environment, it also establishes a sustainable culture of safety, a number one priority throughout its facilities worldwide.
In 2020, Aristocrat finalized the implementation of a Quality Management System aligned with ISO9001:2015 requirements, pursuing an eventual certification and demonstrating its strong commitment towards quality while providing additional confidence to customers that Aristocrat can deliver world-class, reliable gaming solutions that meet and exceed their expectations.
In addition to its gaming machine production, the company also has an important focus on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), specifically targeted towards embedding environmental considerations within the global supply chain and other core business operations.
Aristocrat is continually looking at ways to improve its EGM designs for energy efficiency, and recycling is a key area where it is making some real impact by ensuring the use of recycled materials or reusing packaging material to eliminate waste. With an obligation to focus on sustainability, Aristocrat continues to embed new practices which help deliver on that commitment.
Although the current COVID-19 pandemic has caused some disruption to the industry, Aristocrat’s operations in Asia-Pacific remain very much open for business. With added safety measures and protocols in place, the company continues to implement further steps to ensure the health and safety of its team, its clients and their customers.
