South Korean casino Kangwon Land has again extended the closure of all gaming operations and entertainment facilities for another week.
The only Korean casino at which locals are permitted to gamble announced Friday that the closure would now extend until at least next Sunday 22 March, with the impact of the coronavirus having now seen the property locked down for 29 days.
Kangwon Land first announced an initial three-day closure on 23 February but has extended its hiatus four times since. The property’s hotel, condominiums, ski resort and Water World theme park will also remain closed.
The closure comes as Kangwon Land announced it had this week donated 27,000 surgical masks and 500 bottles of hand sanitizer to vulnerable citizens in the region.
