Only one of the 10 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Macau remains in hospital, with the Health Bureau announcing the ninth patient was discharged on Tuesday.
The latest to recover is a 29-year-old woman who works at the floral department at Galaxy Macau. Her initial diagnosis on 4 February led to Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng shutting down all Macau casinos for 15 days from 5 to 20 February.
Meanwhile, Macau’s hotel occupancy rate reached 21.5% over the last week, a step up from its low of 11.8% during the casino closure.
Conrad Macao at Sands Cotai Central, THE 13 Hotel and five other hotels remain closed, although all have reported to the government that they are preparing to re-open this month.
