This year’s G2E Asia trade show, originally scheduled for 19 to 21 May 2020, has been postponed due to travel restrictions as a result of the coronavirus.
The event’s organizers, Reed Exhibitions and the American Gaming Association, announced overnight that G2E Asia 2020 will instead be held at The Venetian Macao from 28 to 30 July.
Inside Asian Gaming understands that organizers had spent the past few weeks contacting exhibitors and broaching opinions before deciding that the impact of coronavirus would make the required planning too difficult.
“Like all of you, we have carefully monitored this global health crisis. Our top priority is ensuring a safe environment for employees, customers, and exhibitors at G2E Asia,” said Josephine Lee, Chief Operating Officer of Reed Exhibitions China.
“We made this decision in consultation with our exhibitors and the Macau government, and out of an abundance of caution. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause and thank our customers for their continued support of G2E Asia.”
G2E Asia said it will continue to monitor the situation and remain in close contact with all G2E Asia stakeholders to provide updates as available.
