Yokohama will host its first major integrated resorts trade exhibition and conference this week when the 1st IR Expo in Yokohama kicks off at PACIFICO Yokohama on Wednesday

The two-day event, for which IAG Japan has been named Lead Media Partner, will be joint-hosted by the Integrated Resort (IR) Yokohama Promotion Council and the Japan IR Expo in Yokohama Committee, and facilitated by Innovent, Inc.

“The immersion of the IR market is starting to become a reality, leading to high demand for trade fairs in the business community. We will be holding an expo with all the products and services essential to achieving a Japanese IR, all under one roof,” Innovent said of the expo.

Special presentations will be held over the course of the two days, set to be attended by the likes of Galaxy Entertainment Group, Las Vegas Sands, Melco Resorts & Entertainment, Wynn Resorts, Genting Singapore and Sega Sammy Holdings. Local companies listed to attend include the likes of Obayashi Corporation, Kajima Corporation, Canon, Daiichi, Takenaka Corporation, Panasonic Corporation, Fujitsu Ltd, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and many more.

Among those speaking during the conference segment of the 1st IR Expo in Yokohama will be Deputy Mayor of Yokohama, Toshihide Hirahara, as well as a leading domestic expert on international tourism and urban innovation, and officials responsible for IR advisory work in Yokohama.

Most IR operators attending will be giving keynotes providing further insights into their local IR plans.
