Philippines electronic gaming outlet service provider PhilWeb Corporation has announced that Brian Ng will take over as its new President from 1 February 2020.
Ng, currently PhilWeb’s currently Senior Vice President for Gaming, was elected to the post last week following the resignation of Dennis Valdés, who has revealed he is moving to boutique property development firm Alphaland Corporation.
Alphaland is 94% owned by Roberto Ongpin – the former PhilWeb owner and CEO who was forced to sell his stake in the company in 2017 after Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte labelled him an oligarch and canceled PhilWeb’s gaming license.
Speaking of Ng’s promotion, Valdés said, “We are very pleased with the election of Brian to the post of president. His capable handling of our gaming operations over the past years gives us great confidence that he will bring fresh ideas and renewed energy to the task of propelling PhilWeb to new heights, especially as we continue our dual push in eCasino and eBingo.”
PhilWeb currently owns or manages 89 electronic gaming outlets in the Philippines, comprising 66 eGames outlets and 23 eBingo outlets.
