Malaysian slot machine distributor RGB International Bhd reported a 29% increase in revenue to MYR111.6 million and 11% rise in Adjusted EBITDA to MYR23.2 million in the three months to 30 September 2019.
The improved performance was primarily due to results in the company’s Sales and Marketing segment (SSM), where revenue and profit before tax increased by 44% to MYR80.6 million and 39% to MYR10.1 million respectively, RGB said, driven by an increase in the number of products sold. On a sequential basis, SSM segment revenue and profit were up by 248% and 214% respectively compared with 2Q19.
The technical Support and Management segment saw an 8% increase in revenue to MYR30.7 million due to a better performance in the Philippines’s outlets and opening of a new outlet. However, profit before tax of the segment decreased by 38% as a result of higher depreciation and provision for jackpot liabilities on new machines placed in a new outlet.
Group-wide profit fell 6% year-on-year to MYR11.3 million.
