Global slot machine giant Aristocrat Leisure Limited has reported a 22.6% year-on-year increase in normalized profit after tax and before amortization of acquired intangibles (NPATA) of AU$894.4 million for the year ended 30 September 2019, buoyed by strong growth in the Americas and Digital segments.
Group-wide revenue in FY19 grew 14.8% in constant currency and 22.7% in reported terms to a new company record of AU$4.4 billion, while EBITDA rose 20.2% to AU$1.6 billion.
The Americas continued to surge forward as Aristocrat’s largest segment, with revenue rising 23.3% to AU$1.95 billion and profit by 24.9% to AU$1.07 billion.
Digital also continued its rise as revenue rose 33.6% to AU$1.79 billion and profit 20.7% to AU$528.9 million, while the company’s traditional Australia and New Zealand segment remained steady year-on-year at revenue of AU$456.2 million and profit of AU$213.6 million.
Commenting on the results, Aristocrat CEO and Managing Director, Trevor Croker, said “Aristocrat delivered another year of high-quality profit growth in fiscal 2019, further extending our track record of share taking and organic momentum, driven by strong investment in talent, product portfolios and marketing across our Land-based and Digital businesses.”
