South Korea’s Paradise Co booked a seventh consecutive month of year-on-year casino revenue growth in October, with revenue up 15.4% to KRW80.90 billion (US$69.8 million).
The company was aided by better luck compared to the same month in 2018, with table drop up just 1.2% to KRW569.31 billion (US$491 million) – although that figure represented a 7.6% sequential increase.
Both table games and electronic gaming machines performed well in October, with table game revenue rising 14.6% year-on-year and 11.6% sequentially to KRW76.92 billion and EGM revenue up 34.3% year-on-year and 0.2% compared with September to KRW3.98 billion.
For the first 10 months of 2019, table drop is up 20.7% to KRW5.75 trillion and revenue 22.3% to KRW648.06 billion.
