The 2019 Asian Gaming Power 50 to be revealed tonight!

The big day has finally arrived! The crème de la crème of Asia’s gaming industry will gather at JW Marriott, Galaxy Macau from 6.30pm Macau time tonight for the unveiling of the 12th Asian Gaming Power 50.

Since Inside Asian Gaming first launched the “Big 50” in 2008, it has become a stalwart of the industry with enormous interest each year over who will make the list, who will feature in the top 10 and most notably who will claim the number one ranking.

The Asian Gaming Power 50 has certainly proved dynamic, with only 14 people from that first list in 2008 still featuring in 2019. However, the top 10 has proved more stable with six members of the elite group from 2008 still there this time around.

Notably, only four people have ever held the number one ranking – STDM founder Stanley Ho, Genting’s Lim Kok Thay, Las Vegas Sands boss Sheldon Adelson and Galaxy’s Francis Lui.

Who will be number one in 2019? Can Adelson, who has made top spot his own for the past six years, make it seventh heaven or will Galaxy’s Lui steal the crown after closing the gap in 2018? And what about Melco Resorts Chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho, whose company has been among the most active of all this year with expansion into Australia and Cyprus alongside its aggressive moves in Japan?

The 2019 Asian Gaming Power 50 certainly promises to be among the most exciting ever after a year that saw MGM Co-Chairperson and Executive Director Pansy Ho make a power play for control of SJM and Alvin Chau’s Suncity Group expand its interests to Vietnam, Russia and the Philippines. Speaking of the Philippines, keep an eye out for those driving its IR industry which has continued to soar in 2019.

All will be revealed tonight at the Asian Gaming Power 50 Gala Dinner, where IAG will count down this year’s “Big 50” while guests enjoy a fine dining meal, lively entertainment and the company of many industry peers and influencers.

Sponsorship and ticketing for the 2019 Asian Gaming Power 50 Gala Dinner are now closed. For sponsorship or ticketing inquiries for the 2020 Asian Gaming Power 50 Gala Dinner, to be held on Friday 6 November 2020, please contact Jadeson Ho on +853 6331 5577 or at [email protected] Details of 2020 sponsorship opportunities will be available at a later date on www.iagpower50.com.
