Universal Entertainment Corp has announced that its Philippines integrated resort, Okada Manila, recorded a 68% year-on-year increase in gross gaming revenue to Php3.30 billion (US$63.8 million) in March.
The result, which also represented a 38.6% increase on February figures, was Okada Manila’s second strongest month since opening in December 2016 with Universal citing a recovery in both domestic and international play following Chinese New Year and the addition of a new junket as major contributing factors.
VIP volume reached an all-time high in March of Php51.97 billion (US$1 billion) although a lower win rate impacted VIP win, which came in at Php1.64 billion (US$31.7 million). Okada Manila operated 173 VIP tables during the month, up from 143 in March 2018 and 151 in February 2019.
Mass table drop also achieved a new record of Php1.64 billion with win of Php714 million.
Other revenue grew 96% year-on-year to Php96 million with Adjusted segment EBITDA up 266% to Php509 million.
