Macau’s law enforcement bodies will coordinate alongside the Venetian Macao this Friday to undertake the annual “Wolf Hunt” security simulation.
The operation recreates a revenge attack and assault with weapons. The drill will aim to test the reaction of the SAR’s different emergency and security staff in extreme situations in response to injured visitors, hostages or the use of explosives, while following a procedure specified in an action plan.
According to a media release by the Unitary Police Service, the drill will pay special attention to the exchange of information and coordination between all parties “in order to assess the efficiency of the action plan and to improve the contingency plan.”
The exercise will include the participation of Unitary Police Services, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ), Macau Custom Services, the Public Security Police Force, the Judiciary Police, the Fire Department, the Government Information Bureau, the Health Bureau, the Tourism Crisis Management Office and the Venetian Macao.
